Dear TYPO3 community,
I am writing these lines on my way home. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend T3CON2025. What I experienced was not just a simple IT or coding conference. What I experienced was a vibrant community of highly committed people who put their heart and soul into the TYPO3 ecosystem.
At the award ceremony, I had the opportunity to learn about some great projects (congratulations to Cyberhouse GmbH for the fantastic PORR Deutschland Website!) and even to take to the stage myself. Even though it wasn't (yet 😎) enough for an award this year... Being on the shortlist with our partners punkt.de and FEGIME was fantastic!
Another highlight was the 1_FORGE Enterprise Network, put up by the lovely people of punkt.de, dkd Internet Service GmbH and sitegeist! Looking forward to continue the great design-tech-collaboration with you guys!
I was particularly pleased to see that investments are already being made in the next generation of TYPO3 community members and community leadership – whether through TYPO3 SurfCamps on Fuerteventura or various BarCamps. Inspiring young people and entrusting them with responsibility: I have always considered this to be essential and absolutely worthwhile. I am sure that this will further strengthen the community in the long term.
Even though I was (probably) in the minority in my role as an owner of a design agency, everyone was open and interested. And in many conversations, it became clear that this is exactly what lies at the heart of the TYPO3 community: be who you want to be. Here, you can get involved and will be welcomed with open arms. Whether you're a magician, a former entertainer on the AIDA cruise ship, a dancing queen or king, or simply a… Designer.
Thanks for everything, for now I'll be catching up on some sleep… but be sure: I'll be back! 😉
– Florian
